Flowering plants exist in many different forms from the oak tree to the primrose. All have a special structure for reproduction, the flower, that contains the reproductive organs. Mosses, on the other hand, are simple, small (1-5 cm long) plants that have rhizoids instead of roots and reproduce via spores, stored within a spore capsule at the tip of the stem, instead of seeds as in the case of flowering plants. Mosses do not produce flowers.
